outside Porto | inside Portugal - #artwalkchallenge in Santo Tirso

sabia que em Santo Tirso - aqui tão perto do Porto - para além de poder comer os melhores jesuítas do país, (mas presumo que isso já sabe!) - existe o Museu Internacional de Escultura Contemporânea (MIEC), e este é o único museu de escultura ao ar livre em Portugal, com cerca de 50 esculturas espalhadas por locais emblemáticos da cidade?

eu confesso que não sabia, e fui até lá à boleia de um instameet organizado pelos Igersporto e pelo município de Santo Tirso.

did you know that in Santo Tirso - so close to Porto - is famous for its "jesuítas", but this many people already knows,... but hosts the International Contemporary Sculture Museum, (MIEC) and it is the only museum having the sculptures at open air, around 50 art pieces spread through the city.

I admit I did not know that, and went there for an Instameet organised by Igesporto and the Santo Tirso municipality.

à boleia de mais um instameet (instameet viseu 2016) rumei juntamente com um grupo de instagramers a Viseu e à região dos vinhos do Dão para uma experiência de vindimas na Quinta Chão de São Francisco, e para viver as festas da vindima que decorriam na cidade.

bela cidade, bela região, e um belo fim-de-semana.

obrigada @Igersporto pelo convite, obrigada município de Viseu pelo acolhimento, obrigada instagram e amigos instagramers por tão bons momentos.

a riqueza dos dias está nas viagens e nas pessoas; eu e a minha canon estamos sempre prontas para participar.

taking the ride of another instameet - instameet viseu 2016 - together with a group of instagramers I spent the weekend in Viseu and in the Dão wine region for a harvest experiente at Quinta Chão de São Francisco, and to take part at the harvest party organised by the city.

it is a beautiful city, and a beautiful region, and it was a great weekend!

thank you @igersporto for the invitation, thank you to Viseu community for the warm welcome, and thank you instagram and nice instagram friends for such good moments.

days are rich because of the travels we do and because of the people we meet, and I always feel happy to share some of that.

em vésperas de S. João participei em mais um Instameet, (encontro de instagrammers) desta vez organizado pelos @Igersportugal, e que teve como palco principal ruas e ruelas do Porto menos exploradas.

ou melhor, teve como palco o Porto de um instagrammer convidado, neste caso o Diogo Lage @diogolage, que nos guiou por um Porto escondido, vivido dentro de "ilhas", mas mesmo assim um Porto não menos bonito e cheio de histórias com pessoas incríveis, e felizes em nos acolher.

a hashtag de serviço para agrupar as várias fotos foi #oportododiogolage e eu aconselho a irem já ao instagram procurar :)

some days before S.João party, I took part in another instameet, this time organised by @Igersportugal, and with main stage some smaller streets of Porto, or streets less known from Porto.

better said, it was the Porto of an invited instagrammer - Diogo Lage @Diogolage, who guided us through a hidden Porto, lived inside small "islands", but not less beautiful and full of incredible people and stories, so happy to welcome us.

World Wide Instameet 13 @Afurada

o World Wide Instameet 13 (WWIM13) aconteceu no passado dia 23 de Abril, unindo instagramers um pouco por todo o mundo através de vários eventos locais.

no Porto, por iniciativa dos @Igersporto, o encontro teve lugar na Afurada, onde compareceram cerca de 50 fanáticos desta rede social que partilha imagens aos quadradinhos e onde as hashtags são uma peça fundamental.

um vício, que o diga eu, que também compareci.

o evento teve o apoio da Junta de Freguesia da Afurada e da FujifilmPT, e para ver todas as imagens, siga as hashtags:

World Wide Instameet 13 (WWIM13) took place last 23 April, gathering instagramers all over the world through local events.

in Porto, organised by @Igersporto, the gathering took place in Afurada, and about 50 people appeared, people fanatic by this social media that shares square images and where hastgas are fundamental.

quite addictive, and I confirm, as I was there myself.

com lotação esgotada, o encontro valeu pelo local que se visitou, pela criatividade e imaginação que sempre acontece, e pelo encontro entre os os instagramers participantes, que assim têm mais uma oportunidade de se conhecerem ao vivo.

if you are from Porto and a fan of instagram, you probably already noticed that last saturday there was an instameet in the city, the first organised by @nowporto in cooperation with FCporto and visiting the dragon stadium.

the meet was full booked, and it is also good for the places we visit, for the creativity and imagination that flows, and for the opportunity to be with other instagramers, at a real place.

o mais recente instameet organizado pelos Igers do Porto (#igersdoporto_welcomeaboard) levou-me finalmente a conseguir visitar o novo terminal de cruzeiros do Porto de Leixões. um terminal lindíssimo, com arquitectura de Luís Pedro Silva, e que faz com que o Porto de Leixões seja cada vez mais uma importante entrada no Porto e na região.

inaugurado este ano, o terminal não está aberto ao público em geral, estando pensadas no entanto para 2016 a realização de visitas guiadas. por isso, se ainda não foi lá, esteja atento ao site do mesmo.

the most recent instameet organised by the Igers do Porto (#igersdoporto_welcomeaboard) took me finally to the new Porto Cruise terminal, a beautiful terminal, with architecture by Luís Pedro Silva, which leads Porto de Leixões to being more and more an important entrance to porto and to the whole region.

the terminal was inaugurated this year, but it's not open to the public though. Nevertheless, up from 2016 on it will promote guided visits, so if you had not yet the opportunity to be there, stay tuned to the site.

Instamood - Braga, empty stadium

este é o Estádio Axa, em Braga, (Estádio do Sporting Clube de Braga).

o estádio foi alvo de uma visita de instagramers do Porto e Norte para mais uma aventura fotográfica.

é um estádio muito bonito e de arquitectura imponente - ou não fosse obra de Souto Moura - e fica localizado numa antiga pedreira.

nas imediações do estádio, existe um grande terreno abandonado e uma piscina inacabada, que não passaram despercebidos...:)

this is Axa Stadium, in Braga, (the stadium from Sporting Clube de Braga)

the stadium was visited by a community of instagramers from Porto and the North for some pictures.

it is a beautiful stadium, with great architecture - by portuguese architect Souto Moura - and is located in an old quarry.

nearby there is an abandoned ground with an unfinished pool, which was a delight for pictures...:)

#wwim12_biboporto - worldwide instameet @Porto

Instagram - viciante, apaixonante, e de repente parece que o mundo ganha novos contornos.

para celebrar os cinco anos de existência do Instagram, no passado sábado celebrou-se o Worlwide Instameet 12 (#wwim12), ao qual a comunidade Iger do Porto também aderiu (#wwim12_biboporto), com um passeio que começou na Estação de S. Bento e terminando (para a maioria dos participantes, pois houve quem continuasse) com um almoço nos Guindais (Guindalense Futebol Clube).

Instagram - addictive and captivating, and suddenly the world seems to look different....

in order to celebrate 5 years instagram existence, a Worlwide Instameet12 took place (#wwim12), and Porto joined the celebration (#wwim12_biboporto), with a walk through the city, starting at S. Bento station and ending (for most of the participants, as some others went on) with a lunch at Guindalense Futebol Club.
