some days ago I went again to Porto Novo restaurant (the excellent restaurant from Sheraton Porto Hotel & Spa) to taste the new summer menu, a lighter menu, special for these hot and summer days.

and no - I always say that - there is no need to be a tourist to attend our hotels or hotels' restaurants....and we eat so good and it is such a pleasant place to be at Sheranton Porto Hotel and Spa....

the Douro Fair, by the Douro Boys @Quinta de Nápoles (Niepoort)

já aconteceu em Junho passado, num dos fins de semana mais quentes deste verão (até agora), e num cenário idílico como sempre são as paisagens do Douro - falo da Feira do Douro, organizada pelos Douro Boys, e que este ano teve lugar na Quinta de Nápoles, a quinta da Niepoort. 

mas se não esteve presente este ano, não fique com pena, para o ano haverá com certeza mais uma edição. 

e até lá tem tempo de passear pelo Douro e conhecer as várias quintas ou os próprios Douro Boys...:) fica a sugestão!

it happened last June, in one of the most hot weekends of this summer so far, in a beautiful scenery - as always the douro views are - I am talking about the Douro Fair, organised by the Douro Boys, which this year took place at Quinta de Nápoles, the Niepoort's farm.

but if you missed it this year, well next year there will be another edition for sure.

meanwhile you can adventure yourself to Douro, to visit all the beautiful farms (quintas) or to meet the Douro Boys...:)

um verdadeiro sucesso o Meo Marés Vivas 2016, onde durante 3 dias (14, 15 e 16 de Julho) cerca de 90 000 pessoas passaram pelo recinto,  no Cabedelo, em V.N Gaia, para ouvir excelentes concertos de grandes nomes da música nacional e internacional, num recinto bonito e bem carismático tendo o rio Douro como cenário.

dias que foram de grande calor, com os termómetros a apontar temperaturas acima dos 30.º....

it was a complete success the Meo Marés Vivas festival, where during 3 days (14, 15 and 16 July) around 90 000 people attended the place, in Cabedelo, V.N Gaia, to listen to excellent concerts by well known names from the national aand international music world, in a beautiful scenery with the Douro river in front.

yesterday Cabedelo in V.N.Gaia was full for the first day of Meo Marés Vivas Festival, it was a super hot day and on stage were Kelis, Elton John and Dama, among others.

festival goes on today and tomorrow, you can see complete programme here.
