a vida é feita de experiências, e é sempre tão bom experiências novas....

uma das minhas últimas experiências foi bem docinha, e passada na Escola do Gelado, num curso de um dia a aprender a fazer gelados artesanais e biológicos, com o mestre italiano Marco Zanollini.

e se eu aprendi, qualquer um pode aprender - a Escola do Gelado está aí para formar verdadeiros geladeiros profissionais - por isso, gente empreendedora, está aí mais uma porta aberta para um negócio que promete!

well, one of my last experiences was really sweet and spent at  Escola do Gelado (The Ice Cream School) learning how to do bio and handcrafted ice-creams, with the italian master Marco Zanolinni.

and, if I did it, you can also learn it - Escola do Gelado is there to form real professional ice cream makers - so, entrepreneur people, here is a great opportunity for a promising business!

trains, tiles & around @S Bento train station

localizada em pleno centro da cidade, a estação de S. Bento completou no passado dia 5 de Outubro 100 anos de vida, um marco que só por si a torna uma das principais atrações da cidade do Porto.

é ainda considerada uma das estações ferroviárias mais bonitas do mundo, e sobretudo famosa pelos seus magníficos painéis de azulejos.

recentemente, a estação entrou em remodelações, e paira no ar a polémica se num futuro próximo toda aquela zona envolvente irá sofrer grandes alterações....

verdade, não verdade??? 

não sabemos para já, mas achei piada fazer este um dos temas das minhas filmagens para o programa Olá Maria do Porto Canal e explorar um pouco também as ruas laterais (Rua da Madeira e Rua do Loureiro).

S.Bento train station completed last 5th October 100 years, and that fact would be enough to consider the train station one of the top attractions of the city.

but the train station is also considered one of the most beautiful train stations in the world, and famous for its walls full of tiles.

recently, the train station started some constructions, and its been said in a near future it will be completely different.

true, not true???

well, soon we will know, but I thought this would be a nice theme for my films for Porto Canal programme (Olá Maria), and decided to explore a little bit the lateral streets (Rua da Madeira and Rua do Loureiro).

inspiração de fim-de-semana....o mar...:)

no passado fim-de-semana rumei a Peniche com o intuito de assistir à etapa do Meo Rip Curl Pro em Portugal, mas os planos saíram-me furados e as condições do mar, do tempo e das ondas fez com que apanhasse o campeonato sempre em stand by.... azar mesmo....., pois logo na segunda-feira seguinte esteve um dia em cheio para o surf, mas eu já não estava por lá.... (não vi nem um único dos meus surfistas queridos!!!....:( (nota: John John Florence foi o vencedor)

mas! a vida seguia por isso ocupei o tempo a passear por ali e a maravilhar-me - como sempre - com a nossa costa, que naquela zona - costa oeste (Peniche, Nazaré,....) tem um mar e um areal de apaixonar qualquer um....

weekend inspiration.....the sea...:)

last wekend I went to Peniche with the idea to watch the Meo Rip Curl Pro Portugal, but my plans did not work as the sea, weather and waves conditions obliged the event to be in stand by .....I was really not lucky as on following monday conditions returned to be perfect....and I was no longer there... (did not see any of my favourite surfers....:( (adding a note: John John Florence was the winner)

anyway, I was there, so I spent my time through the area, getting amazed by the wonderful coast - the west coast (Peniche, Nazaré, Óbidos, ....) and I believe everyone has to fall in love with the sea there!

se gosta de arte e de lojas bonitas, com artigos vintage (livros incluídos!) e ainda a possibilidade de se sentar para um café (Vernazza Coffee), cerveja artesanal ou um copo de vinho, então tem de conhecer o Alambique, espaço recentemente aberto na Rua Formosa, uma rua em crescente transformação...

if you are fond of art and beautiful shops, with vintage products (books included!) and also the possibility to seat for a while while drinking a handcrafted coffee (Vernazza Coffee), a beer, or even a glass of wine, then you have to go to Alambique, a place recently opened at Rua Formosa, a street which is gaining new life....

Árvore do Mundo é o mais recente restaurante vegetariano que abriu na cidade, desta vez na zona oriental (Rua Duque de Loulé) e pelas mão de Joana Esteves, atriz de formação mas com vasta experiência em hotelaria e cozinha, já tendo trabalhado noutros restaurantes vegetarianos.

Árvore do Mundo is the most recent vegetarian restaurant in Porto, located this time at the oriental area of the city (Rua Duque De Loulé), and opened by Joana Esteves, who is an actress but has several years experience in cooking in other restaurants, mostly in vegetarian restaurants.

o human fest aconteceu de 13 a 16 de Outubro no Pavilhão Rosa Mota, e foram 4 dias dedicados às terapias alternativas, à alimentação saudável e ao apelar das consciências para se viver de forma mais sustentável e num mundo melhor.

eu fui até lá pois sou fã destes temas e apologista deste estilo de vida, e há sempre tanto a aprender e partilhar entre uns e outros :)

human fest took place from the 13-16 October at Pavilhão rosa Mota, during 4 days dedicated to the alternative therapies, healthy lifestyle and food, and the appeal to take conscience of a sustainable and better world to live in.

I went there as I am a big fan of these themes, and there is always a lot to learn and to share with others.
