Namban Oporto Kitchen Kiosk é uma das mais recentes lojas das renovadas Galerias Lumière (ver anterior post aqui) e é um quiosque take-away pequenino pequenino, mas onde cada pormenor faz a diferença e a comida japonesa a excelência. mas se ao ouvir falar em japonês já está a pensar em sushi, desengane-se: aqui as iguarias são outras, eu deliciei-me com um pão japonês recheado com legumes e caril e um oniguiri (uma bola de arroz recheada, a minha foi com cogumelos)....hummm, vá lá e prove....

Namban Oporto Kitchen Kiosk is one of the recent new stores at Galerias Lumière. (see previous post here).
it is a little take-away quiosk, but where every detail makes its difference, and the japanese food makes the excellence. if you hear the word japanese and immediately think of sushi, well you are wrong: here the japanese food is beyond that ; I ate a delicious japanese bread filled with vegetables and curry, and a oniguiri ( rice ball that can be filled with many things, my choice was with mushrooms)...hummm, you just go there and taste.
Miguel Cunha é um apaixonado pela cultura nipónica, e viveu vários anos em Londres, antes de regressar ao Porto, sua cidade natal, no final do ano passado. com ele trouxe Sako Arao, que conheceu em Londres, e juntos organizam já há algum tempo jantares caseiros para grupos restritos de pessoas. quem cozinha é a Sako, Miguel ajuda em toda a organização. se quiser participar no próximo jantar, esteja atento aqui.
recentemente, lançaram-se neste projecto do quiosque, onde em breve poderá encontrar caixinhas com almoços, saladas japonesas do dia e produtos de mercearia japonesa.
Miguel Cunha loves the japanese culture, and lived several years in London, before returning to Porto, his hometown, by the end of last year. he brought with him Sako Arao, whom he met in London, and together they have been organising for some time now home made dinners for a few number of people. Sako is the one who cooks, Miguel helps in the organisation. if you wish to take part in the next dinner, pay attention here.
recently, they decided to build this project of the quiosk, and very soon there will be take-away boxes with a menu available, as well as japanese salad of the day and japanese groceries.
