hoje convido-vos a entrar em mais um lindíssimo e carismático Hotel da nossa cidade - O Hotel Teatro - o primeiro hotel do Porto a fazer parte da marca internacional Design Hotels.
O Hotel Teatro instalou-se no mesmo local onde em 1859 se inaugurava o Teatro Baquet, na Rua de Sá da Bandeira - e daí o seu nome.
Mal se entra, tudo é cénico, desde a recepção a imitar uma bilheteira, as chaves que são um bilhete, o restaurante e o bar que são o palco e a plateia respectivamente, e pelos corredores e quartos podem ver-se vestimentas da época penduradas.
os quartos, que são 74, lindíssimos e de um conforto extremo têm uma particularidade que eu adorei: a banheira, daquelas antigas, tem lugar de destaque em pleno quarto:)
o Hotel tem ainda um ginásio, num dos pisos superiores, e vistas para o centro da cidade.

Hotel Teatro was constructed in the same place as the once existing Theatre Baquet, in 1859, and that's why the name. it is located downtown, at Rua Sá da Bandeira.
as soon as you get inside, everything is scenic: the reception looks like the box office, room keys are like a ticket, and restaurant and bar are like stage and plateia. it is also common you see clothes from that time hanging on the corridors.
rooms are 74, all beautiful and with extreme comfort, and they a have a particularity I liked a lot: in most of them the bathtub has a special place in the room:)
the Hotel has also a gym upstairs, and a nice view to the center of Porto.

o restaurante serve cozinha de autor, e o bar, que fica num terraço exterior, foi recentemente alvo de algumas obras e melhoramentos. agora aos domingos, é mais um dos sítios onde pode aparecer para um delicioso brunch.
