Porto - is it Portugal's foodie capital?

PT

there is no doubt: Porto is been talking about all around the world, for so many and good reasons.
a city of bridges, of river and sea, narrow streets, history full monuments, charming and welcoming people, and of good, so good gastronomy! yes, if you come to Porto , you will eat sooo good!

and isn't it that so many times we get conquered by the food?

well, there is even being said that Porto is Porto 's foodie capital, and I cannot agree more....

onde comer no Porto:

in a recent collaboration between Viver o Porto and Emerald Waterways UK, a travel agency and online platform promoting river cruising in Europe - which recently highlighted the magnificent Douro Region, and of course, Porto, I was asked to mention my favourits restaurants in Porto, not an easy task doing, though, as I was asked only to mention 5....(and I sent seven in a subtile way...:)

where to eat in Porto:
from typical "tascas" without any gourmet pretension (but only the nice welcome and deliciously cooked food served in the pan) to top gastronomy at beautiful places with beautiful views, young and promising Chefs but also awarded Michelin stars Chefs, we can undoubtedly feel a simmering gastronomical moment now in Porto, of which I always try to be aware of....(not easy....:)

the mentioned article decided to choose only two of my suggested restaurants, excellent choices, though.
the real issue is that Porto keeps on this high level of gastronomical offer, honouring its reputation as Portugal's foodie capital"!
we, Porto inhabitants, can only feel really proud of that!.
