I was lucky to meet Yishiene - a travel blogger from Malasia living in London. She always wears nice outfits and easily makes friends. I had the opportunity to be with her more than once, and one time I asked her some things about Porto.
This is the second year she is visiting Porto, and this time she was staying for 5 weeks, in an appartment downtown close to Café Candelabro. I can almost say she achieved to know more about the city than myself.....at least about restaurants....as she says "Porto is a lot about food":)
among the many things she did and visited, she had the time to organize a pancake party and a farewell party...
So, what do you like most about Porto?
- well....food (laughing). ...bacalhau, octopus, ....and the sandes from Taxca, ...
- is there a favourite restaurant?
- I tried many many restaurants!! I love them all, but there are still some of them I need to go to..., I have few days now...
(and I myself noted down a few ones to get to know: like: Tia Orlanda, O Caseirinho, Comme Ça, Venham mais 5, o Paparico, Jesse Sushi.....(and she also discovered Pedro Limão, DOP, Casa Guedes, .....)
ok, but besides food, there is something more in Porto, right??:)
- oh Porto is fantastic, with so many things going on....I love it!! I do not want to leave....:) And everything is close, and it is pretty much affordable, I cannot eat out as I do here, when I am in London!!
- and I love the beach, and surfing, the weather...and of course the people, are so nice and fun!! I made a lot of friends here. And in the S.Joao, I ended up at the beach....it was day....it was incredible!
So in some words, how would you describe Porto?
- Porto is creative, up and coming and full of new opportunities....and ahhh, full of beautiful people:)
-
- and many people are coming to visit Porto because of me:) they see my posts and they want to come!

better is impossible: the tourists come, they like, they recommend! there is nothing better than the word of mouth..
this is Porto in its splendour, and hopefully for long long time more.
