escolhi este local porque é perto de casa, faz parte da minha rotina diária, perto do mar e tem árvores, que são um dos mais reveladores sinais de ver a passagem do tempo, das estações do ano.

não vou postar todas as fotos, apenas de tempos a tempos.

I chose this place because it is close to home, it is part of my daily routine, it is close to the sea, and has trees, which are the most visible sign of time passing by, of the seasons.

I will not post every picture, only from time to time.

Mesa 325 - come and stay

zona oriental da cidade. tome nota, porque é uma zona que ainda vai dar muito que falar, se é que já não começou a dar.

e se já costuma frequentar esses lados, ou tem vontade de descobrir locais novos, já deve saber que o Mesa 325 é local de paragem obrigatória: para um café, um snack, para um almoço ligeiro, ou mesmo para passar um bocado do dia a trabalhar (ou estudar). sim, tem wi - fi gratuita, e tudo preparado para que não saia de lá.

e o espaço é tão acolhedor, apesar de decorado em jeito moderno e minimalista, e o atendimento tão simpático, que apetece mesmo passar lá umas boas horas.

ahh, e tem aquele maravilhoso café artesanal, o Vernazza, que em último caso pode pedir para take and go.

and if you are fond of that area, or you want to discover new places, you must know that Mesa 325 is a must go place: for a coffee, a snack, a light lunch, or even to spend part of the day working (or studying). yes, it has free wi-fi, and everything settled so that you do not need to leave.

and place is so cosy, despite modern and minimalist, and owners so nice, that we really want to spend there some time.

ahh, and you can have there the specialty coffee - Vernazza, which you can also take and go.

the smiles from the city - flashback 2015

a cidade são as pessoas, os seus sorrisos, as suas maneiras de vestir e de andar, os seus projectos, as suas obras.

e se eu me revejo nesta cidade que é o Porto, revejo-me cada vez mais nas pessoas que lhe dão alma e que fazem o Porto acontecer. 

aqui fica um pequeno resumo visual de algumas pessoas e sorrisos que captei com a minha câmara durante o ano de 2015, (foram muitas mais, mas tive de resumir!) pessoas que me contaram histórias, pedaços de vidas e de sonhos, pessoas que, como eu, gostam do Porto e tentam enaltecê-lo. 

neste novo ano vou à procura de mais sorrisos, mais histórias, por isso já sabe, se se cruzar comigo, sorria!

the city is a city because of its people, their ways of walking, of dressing, its projects and works.

and if I like Porto, I like it because of the people who give soul to it, who make Porto happen.

here a small visual resume of some people and smiles I registered with my camera, (there were a lot more, but I had to be short!) people who told me a story, or pieces of their lives and dreams, people, who, like me, like the city of Porto and try to praise it.

this new year I look for more smiles and stories, so if you pass by, don't forget to smile!

novo ano, cá está ele, e não há tempo a perder.

que seja um ano bom, para todos os que passam por aqui e que gostam de me ler.

eu aqui vou seguindo, com o Porto no coração, e com muita vontade de fazer mais e melhor - a minha cabeça fervilha de novas ideias, novos projectos, novas energias.

espero que continuem por aqui, que o Porto continue a ser a nossa cidade, ou a cidade onde gostamos sempre de voltar e enaltecer, e

depois da magia do Natal, e antes da entrada no novo ano, seguem-se por aqui alguns dias de descanso, em modo off, longe da internet, longe do reboliço da rotina, e mais perto do nosso tempo interior. 

sabe sempre bem uma paragem, uma pausa, um balanço, para um recomeço em pleno.

Vime - portuguese typical food

se gosta de comida típica portuguesa, caseira e em ambiente familiar, então o Vime é uma boa escolha.

fica bem perto da Ribeira, e tem a possibilidade de optar por comer na sala interior, na esplanada da frente (onde pode ver o elétrico passar) ou na esplanada de trás, numa zona pedonal mais calma.

Vime - nome da matéria-prima usada para fazer cestos e chapéus - é também um restaurante bem simpático, aberto desde Agosto passado, pelas mãos de mãe e filha (Maria da Conceição e Joana) que viram no espaço vago uma oportunidade de seguir com um sonho antigo.

if you like typical portuguese food, home made and in a familiar atmosphere, so Vime is a good option.

it is located very close to Ribeira, and you have the possibility to eat inside, or in one of the two terraces, one in front, where you can see the tram passing by, or backside, in a calmer aerea.

Vime (Rattan) - name of the products you use to do baskets or hats - is also a very nice restaurant, which opened last August by the hands of mother and daughter (M. Conceição and Joana), who saw in that place a nice opportunity to follow an old dream.

Natal é família, sentar à volta da mesa, conviver, tirar fotos à volta das luzinhas de natal e prolongar a conversa à volta de deliciosas iguarias ......

mas quem segue um regime vegetariano debate-se com aquele dilema.....vou mesmo ter de fazer de conta que ainda como bacalhau??? :) e para quem anda a fugir ao açúcar, não terá outras opções??
