Ciclo de Debates "ouvir & pensar" é um ciclo promovido pelo escritório de advogados Abreu Advogados.

o último debate foi dedicado ao tema Direito e Arte, e teve como convidados o artista plástico Paulo Mendes, o músico Pedro Abrunhosa, o escritor Valter Hugo Mãe e o poeta e advogado André Lamas Leite.

o evento teve lugar na Casa das Artes e o Viver o Porto andou por lá. :)

Debate Cicle "Listening & Thinking" - it is a debate cycle organised by the law office Abreu Advogados.

last debate was about Law and Art, and the invited speakers were plastic artist Pauo Mendes, musician Pedro Abrunhosa, writer Valter Hugo Mãe and poet and lawyer André Lamas Leite.

coming soon: christmas wine experience @Yeatman Hotel

está a chegar mais uma edição do Christmas Wine Experience ( a 6.ª), a ter lugar no emblemático The Yeatman Hotel.

o evento, que irá partilhar o melhor dos vinhos e da gastronomia em Portugal, vai acontecer no fim-de-semana de 3 e 4 de Dezembro próximos, e contará (no sábado) com uma masterclass ministrada pela influente crítica de vinhos britânica - Sarah Ahmed - e com a directora de vinhos do Hotel, Beatriz Machado.

durante o evento vão estar presentes 50 dos melhores produtores nacionais e 140 vinhos disponíveis, , um Bazer de Natal e o Spa da Vinotherapia, com excelentes promoções da marca Caudalíe. Um evento que promete!

para sábado, dia 3, o evento já está esgotado, mas para domingo ainda podem ser feitas as inscrições aqui!

another edition of the Christmas Wine Experience (the 6th edition) at iconic The Yeatman Hotel is arriving.

the event - presenting the best of the portuguese wines and gastronomy in Portugal will take place on the coming 3rd and 4th December, and will host (on saturday) a masterclass by Sarah Ahmed, a british well known wine influencer - and by Beatriz Machado, wine director at the Hotel.

50 portuguese producers and 140 wine brands will be there, as well as a Christmas Bazaar and the Spa from Vinotherapie, with excellent promotions from Caudalíe. It will be a great event!

for saturday, the event is already full, but registration for sunday is still available here.

outside Porto | inside Portugal - @magical douro region

o Douro, maravilhoso, imponente.

e perante estas imagens uma única certeza: Portugal é de facto um país lindo, e o outono uma estação do ano completamente sedutora.

no início de Novembro passei um fim-de-semana no Douro, há muito que queria visitar aquela linda região no Outono, fiquei instalada no Six Senses Douro Valley, (ma-ra-vi-lho-so!) e visitei a Casa do Rio, pertencente à Quinta do Vallado, e onde produzem vinho biológico, em Vila Nova de Foz Côa.

estou aqui numa luta contra o tempo para publicar os posts respectivos e contar-vos tudinho, mas enquanto eles não saem, aqui umas imagens inspiração.

e, se puderem, rumem ao Douro enquanto estas cores se mantém!

P.S. sabiam que Portugal foi eleito pela revista Travel & Leisure destino do ano 2016?:)

Douro, so marvellous, imponent!

and facing these images, I am sure: Portugal is such a beautiful country, and autumn such a seductive season.

In the beginning of november I spent a wonderful weekend there, I wanted to visit the region in the autumn for so log, and I stayed at the wonderful Six Senses Douro Valley, and visited Casa do Rio, belonging to Quinta do Vallado, in Foz Côa, and where they produce organic wine.

I am just fighting against time to get my posts done, and tell you everything about, but while they are not ready, here some pictures for inspiration.

and, if you can, go to Douro while these colours remain. It's absolutely fantastic!

P.S - did you know Portugal has been elected by Travel & Leisure Magazine destination of the year 2016? :)

what's on: "Os Pescadores" @Rivoli Municipal Theatre

fui pela primeira vez a um ensaio de imprensa - concretamente da peça de teatro "Os Pescadores", de João Sousa Cardoso - uma peça inspirada na obra homónima de Raul Brandão, e com estreia marcada para esta quinta-feira, dia 17, às 21:30h no Rivoli Teatro Municipal.

a peça explora "noções de masculinidade e género, de trabalho e de sacrifício", .... e aborda temas como "a experiência do silêncio, do invisível e do recalcado, como a da vida no mar".

se gosta de teatro não perca! A pesca e o seu inerente modo de vida é uma realidade que nos é muito próxima, vale a pena ver esta interpretação!

João Sousa Cardoso, encenador, é também artista e docente convidado na Faculdade de Belas Artes do Porto, tendo levado para o ensaio vários dos seus alunos.

Eu agora vou querer ver a peça completa! quem vem também? :)

I went for the first time to a press rehearsal - to the theatre play "Os Pescadores " (The Fishermen), by João de Sousa Cardoso, and inspired by homonymous piece by writer Raúl Brandão. Its premiere will be this thursday, the 17th, at 21h:30, at Rivoli Theatre.

the play explores "notions of masculinity and gender, work and sacrifice"....with themes like the "experience of silence, the invisible and the repressed, like life on the sea can be".

If you like theatre, don't miss it! The activity of fishing is a well known reality by us, it it with seeing this interpretation.

João Sousa Cardoso is also an artist and teacher at Faculdade de Belas Artes do Porto, and took with him to the rehearsal some of his students.

it was a nice experience, and now I want to see the complete play! Who will join me? :)

em equipa vencedora não se mexe, e não há nada mais certo.

e se o Cantina 32 (com o Chef Luís Américo a comandar a cozinha, e a Inês Mendonça a gerir o espaço e a dar cartas na decoração (ver meu post sobre o restaurante aqui) conquistou o meu top 5 dos melhores restaurantes da cidade mal abriu - há dois anos trás - então o PURO 4050, o segundo restaurante da mesma equipa e aberto desde Maio deste ano, não perdeu tempo a ficar no pódio também.

when there is a winning team, we should not change it, and that is so true!

if Cantina 32 (with Chef Luís Américo in the kitchen, and Inês Mendonça taking care of the decoration - see my post on the restaurant here) achieved my top 5 best restaurants in Porto when it opened - about two years ago - well now PURO 4050, second restaurant of the same team that opened in May this year achieved the podium as well.
